Pre-wedding Photos

On Friday morning, Grammy and Brownie graciously took Collin to the park while Cas and I caught up on sleep. We unfortunately brought the Texas heat to Kentucky, setting record temperatures for September over the wedding weekend. One of Collin's favorite parts of the park near our hotel was the water fountain, where he soaked himself.

Park time was followed by lunch with a big crew from my mom's family.

Cousins Kyle, Leo & Kirk. Father and son -

Friday afternoon we headed to the winery for the ceremony and reception. As the bridesmaids & groomsmen got ready and took photos, Collin twirled around with one of Coady's cousins whose sister was the flower girl. His serious face is masking his true look of concern, as this 3-year-old took charge swinging him around the room.
The beautiful bride getting ready (don't you know the photographer was delighted I was in her shot) -

The bridesmaids were given free reign over our shoes and encouraged to wear bright colors. Coady wore white keds with dressy laces, I wore wussy 1" heels (second from the left) and the rest of the bridesmaids rocked super high, super cute shoes.

While waiting for the ceremony to start, my mom got some pictures of the family. Kirk, Craig and Trish, our wonderful cousins who traveled from Florida. Betty and Jewell Rae, our grandmas that were able to attend Alex's wedding - such a blessing!

Alex with cousins Jake and Leah, surprise guests that despite having just begun their college semesters, traveled from Texas and New York for the wedding. And my handsome boys.

Rehearsed and ready to go, we counted down until 6:30 when we could march down the aisle and witness the wedding!
