Mackeon's 5th Birthday Party

Collin was invited to my best friend Amber's son's 5th birthday party. I cannot believe my best friend has a kindergartener. I may have shed a tear or two at how quickly the time flew between holding him at two days old and in a blink of an eye, he's five . . . and realizing before I know it I'll be walking Collin in for his first day of school.

Back to the party, they had lots of kiddos and a giant water slide which was a perfect combination for an August morning. Collin was not eager to join the kid chaos, but once everyone headed for pizza, I was able to drag him onto the slide for some calmer fun. We went down, made a big splash, and his response was "out." But two steps onto dry land, he was asking for more, so we went down a few more times before joining the rest of the gang for pizza and presents.
Birthday boy Mackeon took steps to ensure he was the only one blowing out his birthday candles - by blocking the breath of younger brother Holden.
Next to the pinata where the birthday boy took the final whacks that caused the candy to fall.
Collin was oblivious to the pinata, instead finding a tricycle in their garage that captivated him. Amber was so generous that she sent the bike that her boys had outgrown home with us, where it has provided hours of entertainment both inside and outside.
