Uncle Alex sans mustache

Collin almost didn't recognize his Uncle Alex, who added glasses and shaved what Cas described as his adult-movie mustache he had at his first visit. Alex and Coady were in town for a wedding, and we got together before they flew back to Indiana to have an early birthday celebration complete with cookie cake. Collin enjoyed going on a walk with just Uncle Alex and Coady and returned home in a great mood.

Later that night, it was the first time we saw Collin follow a book. We've read to him since before he was born, but at 3 1/2 months, he finally started watching the book, studying the pictures rather than staring off at the fan! I can't wait to discover his favorite books. Right now I am thoroughly enjoying Skippyjon Jones and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.

We can't believe the next time Collin gets to play with Uncle Alex will be Thanksgiving. I'm sure he will have grown so much in size and motor skills by then!
