Biking at Brazos Bend

We enjoyed the perfect fall weather on bikes at Brazos Bend State Park last weekend. Collin happily went along for the ride. He did not understand our excitement as we'd point to large, unmoving objects and inform him they were alligators.

So judge us that our son is not wearing a helmet. We tried. We bought an infant one and tightened it, but it would not stay on the top of his head. Since we were on flat walking and biking trails, we rationalized that the alligators posed a bigger threat than the potential of a bike crash.
At the visitor center on a quick break . . . and about to give Collin his millionth kiss of the day.
Grinning at Grammy & Brownie -
Humoring us with the hat -
I don't know how girl moms keep bows on their heads, because Collin's hat didn't last long. He started out the bike ride protected from the sun, but once he realized it was something he could remove, he'd throw it off along the trail after he was done munching on it.
