Payback in the baby pool

I have vivid memories growing up of my lips turning blue from cool swimming pools, of camping by the heater vents at one of my best friend's April b-day pool parties, of it taking me 5 minutes to inch into the pool at swim team practice. So I sympathize with my skinny boy in not jumping right into the baby pool.

My dad thought he needed to be splashed, which resulted in him being the sole occupant of the baby pool. Collin went off to swing with Grammy until he warmed up enough to venture back to the water.
And then he camed armed and ready for payback! Get a taste of your own medicine, Grandpa Brownie -
Friends again -
My parents' dog has no concept of toddler personal space. When your face is at Rudy's level, it's fair game for kisses -
I am just crazy about this stage of Collin's life. It's that perfect little period where he doesn't yet talk back and with his rapidly expanding language, he whines less and less because he can verbalize what he wants. So he's mostly pure fun - learning words, phrases, and putting all kinds of things together that make us sure he's a genius :). He doesn't like to perform for a big audience, but once he warms up to a crowd, he's ready to show them how an elephant goes, how he plays the piano, how to blow kisses, and other toddler tricks of the trade.
