Collin's First Hanukkah

Over the Thanksgiving long weekend, we always celebrate Hanukkah with the family. Collin decided his new bedtime was 7pm over that weekend, so he didn't make it for the entire evening, but stuck around long enough to sing the songs, play with/eat the dreidels, light the candle and of course open his present.

Collin was showered with love and praise all weekend - and aunts and uncles promised us that they were equally excited about each grandchild when we were babies and toddlers. Since our son is the only baby in the family, he is taking advantage of all the attention the family has to offer.

Love from Leah -
Playing with Great Aunt Carla.
Great Uncle Bob & Uncle Alex - looking distinguished with moustaches and glasses
AJ with cousins Jake, Bryce & Leah -
Hanging out with Great Uncle Bob, waiting for the gift exchange to begin -
Uncle Alex and Coady looking stylish -
We always light the Hanukkah candles from youngest to oldest. There are 8 grandkids and 8 candles, so it has worked out perfectly for the last 13 years. This year Collin got the first candle, and I got booted.
Collin was mesmerized by the candle. It will be fun when he can re-tell the story of God's provision to the family before we light the menorah, but Jackson has some job security in that role for a few more years.
Finally it's time for presents. Grammy Lesa helped him unwrap and Collin gave the gift his (teeth) mark of approval.
